December 2007 Survey:
1. Share a good memory from this past summer.
The time we spent in the studio recording our project "Amazed by Grace", with Wesley Pritchard was a highlight of my summer! We finished in time to spend a day in San Francisco with Wesley and his wife, Teresa. It was fun to show them some of our favorite places in the city!
2. What is something that makes you say "Ahhhh"?
Rocking on the front porch; A clean room; Great food; Laying my head on my pillow at night!
3. Name your favorite restaurant.
It depends on where I am! Dewz is my favorite restaurant in Modesto. In the Bay area, I love Max's Opera Cafe. In Chicago...there are too many to list!
4. What CD are you currently listening to?
"Above It All" by The Martins
5. Imagine you've been offered tickets to the concert of your dreams. Who will be on the stage?
Janet Paschal, Karen Peck, Wes Hampton and so many more
6. What is your worst household task?
Keeping the clothes on my closet shelves neatly folded.
7. What is one of your favorite vegetables and how do you like it prepared?
Sweet potato casserole with Brown sugar and nut topping
8. Where are you often found on a Saturday night?
Having dinner and watching a movie downtown
9. Who was one of your most influential teachers, and why?
My kindergarten teacher was Rosemary Denlinger. She is also my great aunt. It was there that I first learned I should not tell EVERYTHING I know at show-and-tell! Apparently, sharing that my dad wore purple-colored underwear was not a good idea. She still teases us about it today!
10. Share a Bible verse or passage that has spoken to you recently.
"Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To Him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 5:6-11
August 2006 Survey:
1. How many times a day do you go online? (average)
Constantly!
2. How many times a day do you check email? (average)
I often minimize the tab and then can watch for new messages all the time. Sweet!
3. Do you have a website that you visit frequently? More than one? What are they?
Boundless.org is a cool site for young adults, Xanga.com, metapundit.net, HisEcho.com, and SoGospelNews.com.
4. What is your favorite computer game?
I don't play computer games much. Probably Solitare.
5. Do you have an Ipod? Blue tooth? Blackberry? Palm Pilot?
None yet, but I keep multiple calendars. Does that count?
6. Is your cell phone with you
and on at all times?
Always!
7. Do you still own a cassette player? a record player?
I think there are a few of these around the house, but rarely used!
8. What is one of your favorite movies? Why?
I love Mansfield Park, based on the novel by Jane Austen; Les Miserables; Oscar;
9. Where do you like to study the Bible? When do you like to study the Bible?
I love going to a bookstore or coffee shop. No distractions! Usually, though, I read the Bible just before going to bed.
10. Share something God has shown you recently.
I've been reminded that life change can only happen as I spend time with the One who can change lives. Trying to do it on my own leaves me frustrated and unchanged!
11. Do you have a favorite book or author? Care to do a book review?
I enjoyed the O'Malley Series by Dee Henderson and A Day To Remember series by Linda Chaikan. I even admit that I like to read Emilie Loring, in spite of the mocking that some of my friends give me!
12. If you have a free hour in your day, how are you most likely to spend it?
I can waste a lot of time checking email and searching online! I also love to read, so if I was in the middle of a book, I would curl up with it. In the summer, I would call Dale and Dorothy and go swimming.
13. What CD is playing in your car right now?
David Phelps "Life is a Church"
14. What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
I start every day with a little something sweet. Cookie, pie, cake; just a bite! Ususally sit-down breakfast is more like brunch or lunch. I love French Toast, Dutch Babies, or Omelets.
